Our response time guarantees are customized for each client. Typically, clients select a 30 minute guaranteed response for after hour service.

8. How does PTI ensure secure remote connectivity?

PTI understands the importance of client data and the security issues most commonly associated with remote connectivity. Because of this, whenever possible PTI recommends a layered security approach consisting of local, access, and firewall best practices.

•	Passwords should be complex and non dictionary words.
•	Individual consultants working on your account need their own user account and password. These passwords are not shared and are kept secured using industry strength encryption.
•	User access should be audited.
•	Remote logon of administrative accounts should be disabled [make use of su/sudo (UNIX/LINUX) or runas (Windows)].
•	Secure protocols such as SSH or Remote Desktop Connection should be used to communicate with systems.
•	VPN solutions should be implemented instead of exposing multiple systems to the internet. Optionally you can implement PKI to further prevent unauthorized access.
